Setting up a PTSA probe on a MicroVision EX’s 4–20 mA input.
Pulsafeeder’s reference sheet for configuring a PTSA probe on the MicroVision EX: MicroVision EX PTSA configuration (PDF).
Both the Turner Designs LD2 and the Pyxis ST-500 PTSA probes ship with a linear 4–20 mA output scaled 0–200 PPB:
| PTSA level | Output |
|---|---|
| 0 PPB | 4 mA |
| 50 PPB | 8 mA |
| 100 PPB | 12 mA |
| 150 PPB | 16 mA |
| 200 PPB | 20 mA |
The MicroVision EX can import a configuration file holding the factory defaults for a standard PTSA probe on 4–20 mA input 1. For a new probe, or one that has been cleaned and calibrated, importing it is all that is needed.
LogConfig0.csv — exactly, with that capitalization. The controller only imports a file with that name, and the download may arrive in lowercase. The file assumes a probe at its factory defaults. For a probe that has drifted or been fouled, calibrate it instead — see Controller calibration.
