A configuration file holds all of a MicroVision EX’s programmed settings. Export one to back a controller up, or import one to program another controller of the same model quickly.
- A MicroVision EX
- A FAT32-formatted thumb drive
- Optional: a computer with a USB-A port or adapter
The controller saves the file in the thumb drive’s root directory as LogConfig0.csv. Each further export before a reboot increments the number. A file already on the drive with the same name is overwritten.
- Insert the thumb drive into the USB slot on the bottom of the controller.
- Wait for USB to appear in green in the bottom-right corner of the display.
- Go to Menu → Communications → USB → Export Config.
- Wait for the loading bar to finish and show Done.
- Remove the thumb drive. The file is ready to import into another controller.
Do not open the file on a computer. Configuration files are .csv files, and opening and saving one in a spreadsheet can damage its formatting and make it invalid. Do not edit it, and do not import a file from one MicroVision EX model into a different model.
- Put a valid configuration file in the root directory of a thumb drive, named LogConfig0.csv. It can come from:
- Insert the thumb drive and wait for USB to appear in green in the bottom-right corner.
- Go to Menu → Communications → USB → Import Config.
- Wait for the loading bar to finish and show Done.
- Remove the thumb drive. The controller now has the imported configuration.
