Checking for and installing new InteliHive firmware.
Updates are published through Inteliverse, so the controller must be online to see one. The controller never installs an update by itself — someone has to start it on the controller.
Control stops while an update installs. Plan it for a time the process can run without the controller. See What happens during an update.
If the controller is already current, the check reports Up to date.
The new firmware has to run cleanly for its first minute. If it does not — or if the update was interrupted or failed its checks — the controller goes back to the firmware it had and raises Firmware Update Failed (550). Nothing is lost; it is running the previous, known-good version.
