The conventions every page follows: what the colored boxes mean, how buttons and screen text are written, and what the firmware and status notes tell you.
Three kinds of box, always in the same colors:
Danger — a risk of injury, or of damage to equipment or the plant. Read it before doing the step it sits beside.
Warning — something that goes wrong quietly if you miss it: wrong readings, a pump that overfeeds, a setting that cannot be undone.
Note — useful context. Safe to skip if you already know it.
A box’s first words, in bold, say what it is about, so you can scan a page by them.
| Written as | Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Bold | A button, a menu item, or words exactly as they appear on the screen | Press Enter. Choose Calibrate. |
| A → B → C | A menu path: choose each item in turn | Settings → Networking → Known Networks |
| Italic | A longer message quoted from the screen | Rinse, then place in 100 ppb standard. |
Code |
A value typed or read over a network or a Modbus tool, or a file name | Register 46000 |
The InteliHive has four buttons: Up, Down, Enter, and Back. The hints along the bottom of each screen say what Back and Enter do there, and change from screen to screen — Next, Save, Ready, Calibrate. Procedures name the hint you will see. The Menu Map shows every screen in one place.
Device names follow this wiki, not always the screen. A few devices are shown on the controller and in the app under older names until the firmware catches up — see Supported Devices.
The wiki describes the current development firmware, which is newer than the latest release. These notes tell you where your controller may differ:
| Note | Means |
|---|---|
| Since v0.0.8 (in a Since column) | The first firmware release that includes the feature or device. Older releases do not have it. |
| New in an upcoming firmware update, or (upcoming firmware) | In development firmware, not yet in a release. Your controller does not have it until it is updated. |
| ⚠️ Unreleased — development builds only | A device supported only in development firmware. Do not promise it to a customer without checking with engineering. |
| Coming soon | Shown on the controller’s screen but not selectable yet. |
To see which firmware a controller runs, open Settings → System Info. To update it, see Firmware Updates.
| Note | Means |
|---|---|
| Not yet tested on hardware | The procedure follows the firmware and the manufacturer’s documents, but nobody has yet run it on a real device. Try it on the bench before relying on it on site. |
| to be filled in | A value or section that is known to be missing and is being worked on — usually a rating waiting for a datasheet. Do not assume a value. |
| Adapted from Pulsafeeder 72-900-29 Rev D, §… | The section draws on the Pulsafeeder MC9300/9500 manual, rewritten for the InteliHive. |
