Read this before installing, operating, or servicing the Repressurizer. It covers what is specific to the Repressurizer; the fundamentals that apply to the whole system are in Safety. Failure to follow these instructions could result in personal injury and property damage, and may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Keep this manual available for anyone working on the system.
Work through the fundamentals that apply to the job:
Over-pressurizing a pressure-containing device can make it rupture or explode, with a risk of serious injury or death. Take every necessary measure to avoid over-pressurizing the system.
- The system’s pressure range is 0–80 PSI, and the piping relief valve is set to 80 PSIG. Every component on the closed loop it feeds must be rated above that. See Specifications.
- Do not fit a check valve or other automatic backflow device between the RPS outlet and the pressurized part of the system. See Installation.
- On (Hand) runs the pump regardless of pressure. Stay with the system and watch the gauge. See Operation.
¶ Fill fluid and materials
- The pump’s wetted parts are brass and the tank is polyethylene. Use only fill fluids compatible with both, such as an inhibited hydronic glycol. See Material Compatibility.
- The maximum fluid temperature is 125 °F.
- Using the equipment in any way not described in this manual is prohibited, and could cause property damage, serious injury, or death. For any question about correct use, contact the manufacturer or an authorized distributor.
- Do not modify the equipment or its factory wiring. Modification could cause property damage, injury, or death, and voids the warranty.
- Use only factory-authorized components for maintenance and replacement parts.
- If the equipment appears damaged, stop operating it until it has been repaired.
- The motor has rotating parts. Take precautions around it while it runs.
- Neglecting the maintenance schedule risks serious injury or property damage.
Use of this system in unsuitable environments can pose risks of ignition or explosion. Make sure the system’s code classification matches the environment it is installed in. See Site and Environment.
Decontaminate before returning. If the system has been contaminated in any way, clean and properly decontaminate it before returning it to the manufacturer. See Warranty and Terms.
